July kicks-off ‘high season’ in Ptown. In addition to the wide range of entertainment available, here are a few of this summer’s event highlights.

Summer Highlights

Friday Night Gallery Stroll: Each Friday night gallerys hold opening receptions for their new artists’ shows. It’s a wonderful way of experiencing Ptown’s Art Colony scene, socializing and meeting new friends. We post the list of show openings each week.

If you’re visiting Ptown in July, take advantage of these free events:  Free admission to the Provincetown Art Association & Museum and the Pilgrim Monument, live concerts at Herring Cove, guided walking tours, and a curated movie series.

Shows & Entertainment

We’ve got the complete list of shows playing throughout the summer!

Comedy: Margaret Cho, Sandra Bernhard, Kate Clinton & more!

Drag: Ptown has plenty of performers with shows all summer long (Dina Martina, Miss Richfield 1981, Varla Jean Merman to name a few).

Music/Concerts: The summer is filled with performances by well-known Broadway stars. There’s also a great line-up at the Payomet Theater in Truro.

Theater & Dance: In addition to traditional theater (Chicago, Salome) and dance, this summer line-up also includes a summer-run performance of Greece from the Gold Dust Orphan Theater Company, 5 to 9 – a new play by Ryan Landry, and Grey Gardens, starring Jinkx Monsoon & Peaches Christ!
