Acting Shakespeare, Provincetown Library

Acting Shakespeare Provincetown Library

Join Stuard Derrick for the Provincetown Public Library’s new Acting Shakespeare course Wednesday evenings from the first week in March to Mid-May in the Lower Level Reading Room.

  • Date: Wednesdays, 3/8 – 5/10
  • Time: 6 pm
  • Where: Provincetown Public Library, 356 Commercial St.
  • Cost: $25

The class will culminate with a presentation at the May Writer’s Voice Café on Wednesday, May 10. The cost of the entire workshop is $25.00, and to ensure quality, the course is limited to 12 attendees. Experience is NOT necessary!

The class will be required to memorize a monologue of their choosing, a scene with a scene partner of the instructor’s choosing, and a sonnet (they will not have to memorize the sonnet, but will become familiar with blank verse and sonnet sequence). This will give attendees a great opportunity to get a Shakespeare monologue under their belt for future auditions!

To register, contact Library Director Matt Clark at [email protected]-gov or 508-816-6373.
