Provincetown Schooner Regatta 2018

The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta takes place each year in September beginning on Monday (Labor Day) and ending with the big race on Thursday.

About The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta

The Regatta is a part of Provincetown Historic Celebrations, Inc., a non-profit organization, and is hosted by the Provincetown Yacht Club and the Provincetown Public Pier Corporation.

This educational and sailing event honors our maritime history and the great natural resources of our region. The regatta promotes public awareness of the important role that Schooners and other historic vessels played in our economic and cultural history.

Captain’s Meeting for Fishermen’s Cup Challenge

Movie Screening: The Finest Hours
Based on actual events, this movie depicts how the Coast Guard made a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers were destroyed during a blizzard in 1952. Starring Chris Pine and Casey Affleck.
