What: The 8th Annual Charitable Art Auction, which benefits emerging local artists, the established Lower Cape arts community and a variety of Cape charities.

ASGCC’s 9th Annual Provincetown 5k Run/Walk, July 16, 2- 4pm

What: Participate in the AIDS Support Group Cape Cod (ASGCC) 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk and help them achieve their fundraising goal of $25,000. Create a fundraising page!

Enjoy a gorgeous morning run down Commercial St. out to the end of MacMillian Pier, and then continue down Commercial St. to the Provincetown Inn finish line (for awards and breakfast celebration). Also dogs are welcome and encouraged to raise funds as well!  Bring your leashed pooch along for the morning run/walk if you so desire. Prizes for top three fundraisers and the top three finishers.

Sunset Whale Watching Cruises, Center for Coastal Studies

What: The Center for Coastal Studies is sponsoring three private sunset whale watch cruises with Provincetown’s Dolphin Fleet. Chat with Center scientists and staff, enjoy a picnic supper with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks, and a front-row seat from Long Point to Stellwagen Bank to see whales, dolphins, sea birds, seals, and sunsets. All proceeds directly benefit the Center’s whale research and rescue programs. Book early – space is limited!

GLAD Annual Summer Party Provincetown

What: The GLAD annual Summer Party is back again – celebrating its 36th year! Enjoy a summer afternoon with a fabulous silent and live auction, and a delicious taste of summer. The event is held at the Pilgrim Monument & Museum overlooking beautiful Provincetown Harbor.

The auction, hosted by celebrity auctioneer Kate Clinton, includes travel packages, restaurants, massages, and much more — something for everyone. Online preview and proxy bidding at www.biddingforgood.com/ at a later date. You don’t have to be present to win!

Histories of Ptown, Live Storytelling – The Generations Project

What: The Ptown Show: Histories of Ptown is an evening of live storytelling, hosted by Broadway actor Kyle Post. The NYC and Ptown Generations Project communities aim to bridge the gap between generations of LGBTQ people and Ptown lovers. This event will be filmed to create a short documentary about the LGBTQ history of Ptown. Audience members will participate in building a LGBTQ Timeline before the show.

7th Annual Lobsterfest – Benefit for Outer Cape Health Services

What: The 7th annual Lobsterfest – Fiesta themed – will raise money for Outer Cape Health Services. The event will feature a live and silent auction with auctioneer, John Terrio, and includes a South African safari, a Boca Grande condo stay and much more! Great entertainment, special guests, and musical performances.

When: Sat 8/12; 3 – 7 pm

Provincetown Swim for Life 2017

What: The Provincetown Swim for Life was started in 1988 to raise awareness and funds to help those with AIDS in Provincetown. The annual 1.4 mile swim across Provincetown Harbor is now in its 29th year! Sponsored by the Provincetown Community Compact, the swim has grown to be one of the largest community gatherings on Cape Cod, bringing people together from around the country and around the corner. last year’s swim raised an estimated $225,000 for local charities.
