‘Hairspray’ Costume Sing-along

What: Join The Boston Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for a sing-along to the campy and ever so relevant Hairspray the Musical Movie. Dress in your best Hairspray costume and sing-along with the crowd to the movie’s award-winning songs. Contest for best costume!

Proceeds from this event benefit The Sister Santa Program.

Pilgrim 5K Trot: PAAM Fundraiser

Start your Thanksgiving Day with a 5K race! And best of all, you’ll help raise money for the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. All proceeds donated to Provincetown Art Association and Museum

Where: Begins at Sand Castle Resort Provincetown | Directions. The route goes from the Sandcastle Resort Club to the PAAM and back to the SRC. (Distance 3.1 miles)

When: Thu, 11/23/17. Registration starts at 7:30am; Race starts at 9am.

Registration Cost: $25 pre-registration; $30 the day of the race. | Register Now!

Prizes: $100.00 cash prize for 1st place female and male participants.

SKIP “Souper Saturday” Fundraiser

What: Join the Soup Kitchen of Provincetown (SKIP) at Tin Pan Alley for their annual “Souper Saturday” fundraiser! Restaurants throughout Provincetown come together to serve their speciality soups by the cup. You’re bound to find several soups to warm up to.

When: Sat, 12/2; 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Where: Tin Pan Alley, 269 Commercial St.

Cost: $5.00; Each ticket purchases a cup of soup of your choice!

Polar Bear Plunge

Take out that summer swimsuit and take the annual Polar Bear Plunge challenge on New Year’s Day 2018! This tradition is the 3rd annual event and is part of the Provincetown First Light celebrations for New Years Weekend 2017 – 2018. Registration proceed benefit the Center for Coastal Studies.

This event, co-sponsored by the Harbor Lounge, Yolqueria and the 8 Dyer Hotel will feature a quick dip in the harbor followed by warm-up cocktails and chili at Harbor Lounge. There will be a DJ, music and a guest emcee, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate. And if you don’t want to take the plunge, come on down and cheer on those brave plungers!

Provincetown Swim for Life 2017

What: The Provincetown Swim for Life was started in 1988 to raise awareness and funds to help those with AIDS in Provincetown.

The annual 1.4 mile swim across Provincetown Harbor is now in its 29th year! Sponsored by the Provincetown Community Compact, the swim has grown to be one of the largest community gatherings on Cape Cod, bringing people together from around the country and around the corner. In 2017, 421 swimmers participated. We’ll post the final total raised as soon as it’s available!

Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride

What: During this one-day bike ride, participant bike between 68 to 125 miles from Boston to Provincetown to raise money that benefits organization providing much needed care and support to people with AIDS. 100% of all proceeds go directed to AIDS-related charities

In Provincetown, riders come together in the early evening and ride through the town. Be sure to come out and cheer them for their efforts! This is their 14th year!

When: Sat, 9/22; Riders begin arriving in PTown in early afternoon

Annual Benefit Gala, PAAM

What: Come show your support and celebrate at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum Annual Gala. This is PAAM’s largest fundraising event of the year! Celebrate PAAM in style with a catered dinner while honoring PAAM’s artists and supporters for their work and dedication. Check the PAAM’s event page for more information about this year’s honorees.

Cape Cod Walks the Walk, Alzheimer Fundraiser

What: This annual fundraiser and celebration raises crucial funds to support free services through the The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center Of Cape Cod for families of those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related diseases. Trolly ride, food, live music!
