The Wellfleet Harbor Actor’s Theater has a great 2017 theater line-up too. It’s only a 20 – 25 minute drive from Ptown.

September 2017

Provincetown Dance Trophy

What: The Provincetown Dance Trophy is the only same-sex ballroom dance contest in New England sponsored by North American Same-Sex Partner Dance Association. This event showcases the grace and skills of the ballroom dance contestants. Featured dance styles include: Argentine Tango, Salsa, Disco, Country Western, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Cha-cha, Rumba, Swing and many more.

Тhe Boston Open DanceSport dance contests are not only competitions, but also a public declaration of the need for equality at all levels of our lives.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

What: This smart and well-crafted adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel remains very true to the original story.

Chicago: The Musical

With music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart find themselves on death row together and fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows in 1920s Chicago. As the opening prolog states, “Ladies and Gentleman. You are about to witness a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery“. Greece, A Musical: Gold Dust Orphan Theater Company

The Gold Dust Orphan Theater Company mashes up the musical Grease with mythical Greece – and some Shakespeare thrown in.

Zeus catches his only daughter obsessing about the petty goings on of mere mortals. What’s his punishment?  Send her to a public school! No sooner does she arrive on Earth when she meets a gorgeous Trojan, releases her Kraken, and all Hades breaks loose! Songs, dances, action, adventure, and Gorgon SEX!

The Atomic Bombshells

The Atomic Bombshells, Seattle’s internationally celebrated, polished and perfectly-choreographed, professional burlesque troupe, present a show that celebrates the feminine form with good humor and style. The Atomic Bombshells have been recently showcased on Emmy-Winning PBS program “Full Focus”, and performed sold-out events in Amsterdam, Berlin, Portugal, and Shanghai.
