Camp Lightbulb Provincetown

Camp Lightbulb returns to Provincetown for its 8th summer. Provincetown is one of the most beautiful beach resorts in the US – and one of the most gay friendly places anywhere. This summer there will be two week-long camps in July, and a ‘family camp’ during Labor Day weekend.

The campers will return to the Hi Truro Hostel, by beautiful Ballston Beach for – Fun – Beach – Bonfire – Discussions – Drag – Variety Show – Celebrity Guest – Funk Bus – Games – Disco Dance Party.

The camps are small and intimate, a place where all the campers and counselors know each other by name, allowing for a hands-on and individualized experience for every camper, with a high counselor-to-camper ratio, staffed by counselors that reflect the community, who are fully trained and subject to references and extensive background checks.’s Out section profiled Camp Lightbulb and its founding director Puck Markham.
