ASGCC’s Annual Provincetown 5k Run/Walk

What: Participate in the AIDS Support Group Cape Cod (ASGCC) 10th Annual 5K Run/Walk and help them achieve their fundraising goal of $25,000. Create a fundraising page!

Enjoy a gorgeous morning run down Commercial St. out to the end of MacMillian Pier, and then continue down Commercial St. to the Provincetown Inn finish line (for awards and breakfast celebration). Also dogs are welcome and encouraged to raise funds as well!  Bring your leashed pooch along for the morning run/walk if you so desire. Prizes for top three fundraisers and the top three finishers.

Enchanted Pool Party: GLAAD Benefit

What: The Crown & Anchor, GLAAD, and Absolut Elyx host an afternoon of music and dancing overlooking Provincetown Harbor. DJ Blacklow will spin, and the Crown & Anchor is expanding the waterfront dance floor for this special event with multiple bars available. VIP Ticket purchasers will enjoy exclusive use of the Absolut Elyx VIP Lounge with complimentary Absolut Elyx beverages.

A portion of the door proceeds will benefit GLAAD. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of individuals and events in all media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Provincetown White Party

The White Party is an anticipated Labor Day weekend event and fundraiser. Come celebrate the end of summer by wearing your best white outfit! See party photos. Tickets are generally available in mid-July and you can purchase them from the official White Party website.

Provincetown Swim for Life

What: The Swim for Life (Official website) is an annual swim to raise money for several Ptown social services. Now in its 33rd year, the swim has grown to be one of the largest community gatherings on Cape Cod, bringing people together from around the country and around the corner.

UPDATE 8/14: After thirty-one years swimming across Provincetown Harbor from Long Point to the Boatslip, the annual Swim for Life & Paddler Flotilla is changing course. The appearance of white sharks and seals has created concern for swimmer safety in the deep waters off Long Point. For this reason, the course of this important Provincetown tradition and fundraiser will move closer to the town’s shoreline.  The organization will also have a fresh water alternative at Great Pond in Wellfleet!

Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride

What: During this one-day bike ride, participant bike between 68 to 125 miles from Boston to Provincetown to raise money that benefits organization providing much needed care and support to people with AIDS. 100% of all proceeds go directed to AIDS-related charities

In Provincetown, riders come together in the early evening and ride through the town. Be sure to come out and cheer them for their efforts! This is their 14th year!

Annual Benefit Gala, PAAM

What: Come show your support and celebrate at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum Annual Gala. This is PAAM’s largest fundraising event of the year! Celebrate PAAM in style with a catered dinner while honoring PAAM’s artists and supporters for their work and dedication. Check the PAAM’s event page for more information about this year’s honorees.

Cape Cod Walks the Walk, Alzheimer Fundraiser

What: This annual fundraiser and celebration raises crucial funds to support free services through the The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center Of Cape Cod for families of those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related diseases. Trolly ride, food, live music!

When: Sun, 10/13; Registration starts at 10 am. Walk starts at 12 pm.

Pilgrim 5K Trot: Helping Our Women Fundraiser

What: Start your Thanksgiving Day with a 5K race! And best of all, you’ll help raise money for Helping Our Women (HOW). The route goes from the Sandcastle Resort Club to Angel Food and back to the Sand Castle Resort for a distance of 3.1 miles. See The Route.

Online Auction, Provincetown Film Society (PFS)

Bid online on a variety of items that will support the Provincetown Film Society. All proceed benefit this organization that promotes the film arts, continuing the tradition of art in Provincetown, America’s oldest art colony.

SKIP “Souper Saturday” Fundraiser

What: Join the Soup Kitchen of Provincetown (SKIP) at Tin Pan Alley for their annual “Souper Saturday” fundraiser! Restaurants throughout Provincetown come together to serve their speciality soups by the cup. You’re bound to find several soups to warm up to.

When: Sat, 12/1; 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Cost: $5.00; Each ticket purchases a cup of soup of your choice!

 

‘Tis the Season for Giving Fundraiser

What: Kick off Holly Folly Weekend and get into the spirit of giving with the annual ‘Tis the Season for Giving holiday drag show. All proceeds and tips collected benefit the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC). Your show hostesses – Anita Cocktail & Barbie Cue – along with many more talented and generous drag performers!

Polar Bear Plunge

Take out that summer swimsuit and take the annual Polar Bear Plunge challenge on New Year’s Day 2019! This tradition is the 3rd annual event and is part of the Provincetown First Light celebrations for New Years Weekend 2018 – 2019. Registration proceed benefit the Center for Coastal Studies.

This event, co-sponsored by the Harbor Lounge, Yolqueria and the 8 Dyer Hotel will feature a quick dip in the harbor followed by warm-up cocktails and chili at Harbor Lounge. There will be a DJ, music and a guest emcee, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate. And if you don’t want to take the plunge, come on down and cheer on those brave plungers!
