Pilgrim 5K Trot: Helping Our Women Fundraiser

What: Make room for your Thanksgiving dinner later in the day by starting with a 5K fundraising ‘trot’ benefiting Helping our Women (HOW). The 3.1 mile route starts at the Sandcastle Resort Club and participants trot to PAAM and then back to the Sandcastle Resort Club. A $100 cash prize will be awarded for 1st place female and male participants.

When: Thu, 11/28/19. Registration starts at 7:30am; Race starts at 9 am.

‘Tis the Season for Giving Fundraiser

What: Kick off Holly Folly Weekend and get into the spirit of giving with the annual ‘Tis the Season for Giving holiday drag show. All proceeds and tips collected benefit the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC). Your show hostesses – Anita Cocktail & Barbie Cue – along with many more talented and generous drag performers!

When: Fri, 12/6; 8 pm

Where: Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St. | Directions

Cost: $10 donation at the door

 

SKIP “Souper Saturday” Fundraiser

What: Join the Soup Kitchen of Provincetown (SKIP) at Tin Pan Alley for their annual “Souper Saturday” fundraiser! Restaurants throughout Provincetown come together to serve their speciality soups by the cup. You’re bound to find several soups to warm up to.

When: Sat, 12/7; 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

Where: Tin Pan Alley, 269 Commercial St.

Cost: $5.00; Each ticket purchases a cup of soup of your choice!

Polar Bear Plunge

Take out that summer swimsuit and take the annual Polar Bear Plunge challenge on New Year’s Day 2020! This tradition is part of the Provincetown First Light celebrations for New Years Weekend. Registration proceed benefit the Center for Coastal Studies.

This event, co-sponsored by the Harbor Lounge, Yolqueria and the 8 Dyer Hotel will feature a quick dip in the harbor followed by warm-up cocktails and chili at Harbor Lounge. There will be a DJ, music and a guest emcee, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate. And if you don’t want to take the plunge, come on down and cheer on those brave plungers!
