If you’re planning to visit in Ptown during the summer of 2019, Provincetown’s vibrant music scene offers plenty of options with a variety of national and local performers! Venues are starting to announce performers for Summer 2019. Here’s the list so far.

2019 Summer Concert Series

You can count on these three venues hosting concerts during summer 2019 season.

Summer Concert Series at Herring Cove

This FREE concert series begins in late June and runs through Labor Day, and showcases local musicians every Wednesday and Sunday summer night. Check out list of 2018 performers. Many return every year! Bring a chair, and enjoy a concert with one of Cape Cod’s most beautiful beach and sunset as a backdrop! Food, drinks, beer and wine are available at the Pavilion from Far Land On The Beach.

 

Payomet Performing Arts Center

The Payomet Performing Arts Center an open air pavilion in Truro – is a short 15 minute drive from Ptown. This year’s performers include Judy Collins, Aimee Mann, The Zombies and more! Payomet Event Schedule

 

Great Music on Sundays @ 5 Series

When: Sundays, 6/9 – 10/6 at 5pm

The Great Music on Sundays @ 5 Series hosts a different musical program every Sunday.  The music ranges from classical, Broadway, solos and popular music. The Unitarian Universalist Meeting House (“the UU”) includes a Steinway grand piano and a 1850 Holbrook tracker organ.

Steve Grand

Who: Steve Grand’s first music video, All-American Boy, tells the story of unrequited love between two men, and took the internet storm when it was released. Since then, Grand has been touring nationally and internationally, using his entertainment platform to advocate for Human Rights and LGBT Equality. Watch Steve’s Youtube channel.

Well Strung String Quartet

Who: Well-Strung – the critically acclaimed singing string quartet – returns to Provincetown for one week only at The Art House.  Their most recent CD titled POPssical debuted at #8 on Billboards Classical Crossover Chart and #9 on Billboards Classical Chart. You may recognize Well-Strung members Christopher Marchant and Trevor Wadleigh on CBS’ The Amazing Race as #TeamWellStrung this past winter.

Countess Luann de Lesseps and Friends

Who: An original cast member of The Real Housewives of New York, Luann de Lesseps (Countess Luann) started packing venues this past year with her show, #COUNTESSANDFRIENDS, to accolades from venerable publications such as Vanity Fair and The New York Times. Her dance hits “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” “Chic C’est La Vie” and “Girl Code,” resulted in her own Pandora station. Vive Le Cabaret!

Linda Eder

Who: Crown & Anchor presents Linda Eder in concert for two nights only! Masterful in many music genres, Linda Eder is happiest on stage singing for her audiences. While regularly performing in large venues  across the United States and Europe to sold-out houses, Eder returns to Provincetown each summer.

Alan Cumming & Ari Shapiro: Och & Oy! A Considered Cabaret

Who: Alan Cumming (Cabaret, The Good Wife) and Ari Shapiro (NPR’s All Things Considered, Pink Martini)  both transport audiences to other worlds through their stories. Now, they’re joining forces in SONG. Witness the exclusive debut of their new evening of tunes and tall tales titled “Och & Oy! A Considered Cabaret”. Musical direction by Henry Koperski.

Who: Six-time Tony Winner Audra McDonald performs at Provincetown Town Hall with Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky  as pianist and host for one show only on Sunday, September 1 at 6:30 PM.  McDonald joins Rudetsky is an evening of incredible songs and conversation following their critically acclaimed concerts this season at New York’s Town Hall and San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre. The Broadway @ Town Hall concert series will help raise funds for Sandy Hook Promise.
