Venues are just beginning to announce their 2019 performance line-up. Here’s an at-a-glance list of entertainment and shows that have been announced to date. Be sure to check back next month for an update.

Venues are finalizing their schedules, but here are the performers we know will be returning. We’re sure Provincetown favorites Varla Jean, Ben Delacreme, Jinkx Monsoon and more will return. Summer Runs

Dina Martina

Dina Martina’s new show, Forgotten But Not Gone, is a mash-up of live singing, outrageous costumes, and hilarious video montages. Details

Miss Richfield 1981

Known for her unique take on audience participation, and comedic songs and videos, Miss Richfield’s new show, Gender Fluids, will attempt to find non-binary answers to our increasingly complex world! Details


RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite BenDeLaCreme returns to Provincetown with her latest theatrical blend of burlesque, comedy and music: “BenDeLaCreme is… Ready to be Committed.” Details

Jinkx Monsoon with Major Scales

Jinkx Monsoon returns to The Art House Provincetown with her accompanist, Major Scales in their new show Together Again, Again. Jerick Hoffer gained national attention for his overbearing and impudent persona, known as Jinkx Monsoon on season five of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Details

Varla Jean Merman

After 25 years of giving over 75% of her best at every performance, Varla is well, tired. With fierce competition from Kardashians, Drag Race and social influencers who are as old as Varla’s undergarments, our favorite daffy drag diva might have to make an effort this year. Details

Illusions Drag Revue

Provincetown’s first ladies of high drag combine glamour, comedy, and amazing songs in a Las Vegas-style drag revue at the Crown and Anchor. Details

Miss Conception

Miss Conception brings her new show, Miss Conception’s TV Land, featuring well-known TV character with a comedic twist that includes live vocals, dance and costume changes. Details

LipSchtick starring Scarbie

David Scarbie Mitchell stars in his long-running one-man show, Lip Schtick – One Boy’s Journey to Fabulous and Back! Details

Lee Squared: The Liberace and Peggy Lee Comeback Tour

What if Liberace and Peggy Lee staged a comeback tour in the Instagram age? Come see how this duo (David Maiocco and Chuck Sweeney) navigates these modern times. Details

Mon, 7/15: Bianca Del Rio returns to Provincetown Town Hall for one night performing her new show, It’s Jester Joke! Details

Bob The Drag Queen

Sun, 8/11: Bob The Drag Queen – a queen for the people – performs one show only in his new show, Crazy Black Lady. Details

Marti Gould Cummings

Marti Gould Cummings is a NYC based drag artist, who performs weekly in NYC alongside the cities leading broadway and nightlife talents. His comedy and musical concerts have taken him around the world. Details

Coffeehouse At The Mews

What: Each Monday, the Mews Coffeehouse highlights a local Cape performer. The night also includes an open mic session for writers, playwrights, poets, singers, songwriters, and comedians. See the list of 2018 – 2019 performers and details

Opera Meets Broadway – Outer Cape Chorale

Fri, 5/17 and Sat, 5/18: The Outer Cape Chorale performs “Opera Meets Broadway”. Come join 145 of your neighbors, who comprise the Outer Cape Chorale, sing their hearts out presenting your favorite Broadway songs and familiar opera choruses. Details

Fri, 5/24 – Sun, 5/26: Melissa Crispo’s powerhouse voice is a cross between Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks. Crispo has gained quite the following after being a part of The Melissa Etheridge Cruise for the past three years. Details

Beth Malone

Sat 5/26 & Sun 5/27: Beth Malone – Tony Nominee for Fun Home – will perform for two nights only in the Broadway @ The Art House series. Details

Melissa Ferrick

Sun, 5/26: Folk-rock singer/songwriter Melissa Ferrick is an eight-time Boston Music Award winner and prolific songwriter. She has shared the stage with Morrissey, Marc Cohn, Paul Westerberg, Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco, k.d. Lang and many others. Details

July 2019

Steve Grand

7/2 – 9/5 (Tue – Thur): Steve Grand first music video, All-American Boy, tells the story of unrequited love between two men, and took the internet storm when it was released. Since then, Grand has been touring nationally and internationally. Details

Tori Scott

Wed, 7/3 & Mon, 7/29: Tori Scott returns to Provincetown with her new show Tori Scott is Pickled!, a shameless musical journey with blackouts and belting. Details

Jessie Mueller

Broadway actress and singer Jessie Mueller returns to Provincetown this summer for two shows. Mueller won a Tony, Drama Desk and Grammy award for her starring role as Carol King in the musical Beautiful. Details

Matt Alber

Mon, 7/15: Matt Alber’s music spans folk rock and alternative, and he plays both acoustic guitar and piano in his live performances. Details

Lucie Arnaz

Mon, 7/22: Lucie Arnaz returns to her theater roots, celebrating a life on stage, and looking back at some of the roles she’s had. Details

Deven Green with Ned Douglas

Sat, 8/3, Mon, 8/5 & Tue, 8/6: Live comedy performer and internet video sensation, Deven Green brings her show, The Human Jukebox, to Provincetown. Devon, along with Ned Douglas will sing songs from the 1920’s to today on electric ukulele and guitar. Details

Well Strung String Quartet

Sun, 8/11 & Tue, 8/13 – Fri, 8/16: Well-Strung – the critically acclaimed singing string quartet – returns to Provincetown for one week only at The Art House.  Details

John Lloyd Young

Tue, 8/13: Tony and Grammy winner John Lloyd Young performs one show at the Crown and Anchor’s Paramount stage. Young starred as the original “Frankie Valli” in Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Jersey Boys. Details

Linda Lavin

Mon, 8/5 & Tues, 8/6: Tony and Golden Globe award winner Linda Lavin returns to Provincetown accompanied by the acclaimed Billy Stritch for 2 shows only. Details

Countess Luann de Lesseps and Friends

Sat, 8/24: An original cast member of The Real Housewives of New York, Luann de Lesseps (Countess Luann) started packing venues this past year with her show, #COUNTESSANDFRIENDS, to accolades from venerable publications such as Vanity Fair and The New York TimesDetails

Linda Eder

Mon, 8/26 & Tues, 8/27: Masterful in many music genres, Linda Eder is happiest on stage singing for her audiences. While regularly performing in large venues  across the United States and Europe to sold-out houses, Eder returns to Provincetown each summer. Details

Judy Gold

Thu & Fri, June 27 – August 30: Judy Gold, the Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, is back in Provincetown this summer with her uniquely cutting New York comedic view on life. Details

Lisa Lampanelli, Fat Chance

Mon, 7/1 & Tue, 7/2: “Fat Chance” showcases the former insult comic of Lisa Lampanelli at her new best. Details

Mark MacKillon, Body by Taco Bell

Tue, 7/2 – Thu, 7/4; Tue, 7/9 – Thu, 7/11: Mark MacKillon, star of several Broadway productions, performs his one-man show, Body by Taco Bell/Mark Mackillop-Life Coach, pulls back the curtain on the social media facade. Details

Leslie Jordan: Exposed

Sat, 7/27: Randy Rainbow – comedian, actor, writer, host and Internet sensation – will perform at Provincetown Town Hall on Sat, 7/27. Two shows: 7 pm 7 1 pm! Details


August 2019

Sandra Bernhard

Thur, 8/8 & Fri, 8/9: Sandra Bernhard returns to the Crown with her new show, Quick Sand. Take a break with Sandy and don’t get stuck in the mundane. Details


Fri, 8/9 & Sat, 8/10: The comedy group Unitard returns to Provincetown to performs their new show, Badassy. Details

Matt Bellassai, Unhappy Hour

Fri, 8/23: Matt Bellassai, host of the weekly web series, “To Be Honest,” stops in Provincetown for one show only on his national comedy tour titled, Unhappy Hour! The former BuzzFeed comedy writer co-created, wrote and produced the web series “Whine About It,” a weekly video series where he got drunk alone and violated numerous Human Resources bylaws. Details

August: Osage County

Sweeney Todd

When: July 9 – Aug 29; Mondays – Thursdays at 7pm

Cabaret – Peregrine Theater Ensemble

When: Wed – Sat, beginning July 10 – Aug 31 at 7:30 pm (Preview on Tue, 7/9)

Where: Fisherman Hall, Provincetown School, 12 Winslow St | Directions


Provincetown Dance Festival

What: The line-up includes will be announced soon. Check back later for details. The 2018 festival included seven dance companies or solo artists ranging in styles from classical Indian, tap, ballet, hip-hop and contemporary dance.

When: Fri, 6/21 & Sat, 6/22 at 7:30 pm

Cape Dance Festival

What: The annual Cape Dance Festival presents one evening of dance at the Province Lands Outdoor Amphitheater. The program includes the highest-caliber American choreographers, dancers and dance companies.

When: The festival hasn’t announced the date yet, but in the past they’ve held the festival on the last Saturday of July. We’ll post the date as soon as it’s announced.
